The Information National System for the Higher Education looks for homogeneity, centralizing, opportunity and reliability of Higher Education sector information. This helps in its easiness as well as reducing as much as possible operative costs; consolidating this system as a management tool for decision making, planning, monitoring, and controlling to allow creating and carrying out educational politics. The SNIES increases the knowledge of users and society in general about Higher Education institutions, improving decision making process to new candidates of different curriculum, supporting of self-evaluation and accreditation of processes; and offering additional information about labour market.
